Clogged Gutters Cause Real Damage — Don’t Wait

Gutters exist for one reason — to move water off your roof and away from your foundation. When they’re clogged with leaves, debris, and compacted buildup, they can’t do that job. Water backs up, overflows over the sides, and ends up exactly where it shouldn’t — against your fascia boards, down your siding, pooling around your foundation. The damage that results is slow, expensive, and entirely preventable.

Gutter cleaning is one of those maintenance tasks that’s easy to ignore because gutters are out of sight. But the consequences of ignoring them show up eventually — rotting fascia boards, water stains on siding, basement moisture, and foundation issues that cost significantly more to address than a routine cleaning would have.

We clean gutters twice a year for most properties — once in late spring after tree pollen and seeds have fallen, and once in late fall after the leaves are down. Both visits include a full cleanout of the gutters and a flush of all downspouts to confirm water is moving freely all the way through the system.
